The differences between them and David speaks

The difference between my children is obvious to me.

When Allyssa was 14 months old, she was just barely walking. There are pictures of her at about 15 months where she is holding on to Micah (her cousin's) hand as he helps her walk around. However, when she was 15 months old, I wrote down a list of all the words she could say. There were more than 20 words on that list, for sure. I'd have to pull out the list to count, but it is very long. Allyssa has always woken up slowly in the morning. Did not sleep until a decent hour and woke up around 5 or 5:30 until she was 18 months old or so. She was rocked to sleep at bedtime until she was 17 months old. Rocked for her nap until she was 2 year and 4 months old. She always had lots of opinions about exactly what should happen when. Routines are key for her.

David started walking shortly after his first birthday. He never walked holding onto people's hands. Never really cruised along the furniture. Once he decided to walk, he was up in the middle of a room with nothing to hold on to, walking. David is not as vocal as Allyssa was. He has been saying "hi" and "hey" for several months (also Allyssa's first words, probably because I tell my kids hi all day long). He has also been saying "momma" and "dada" for a long time. He also says "Aiti." He sais "uuhh" for "up." He looked at a picture of an apple, and I told him what it was the other day, and he repeated me. He will occasionally say "more," usually when we are on a walk and he's eating his afternoon snack and runs out. He will say "ma" for "milk" when we're eating and he wants his milk back. He makes the noise of a pig for us. He can hoot like an owl and howl like Aiti. He wakes up in the mornings happy. He has always slept well and without being rocked. He does wake up at night for pacifiers occasionally. He wakes up at about 6am each morning right now. While we operate on a routine every day, so this is part of his life, I have noticed that he is very laid back. He very rarely gets upset about anything at all. He hardly ever fusses or cries. He's very happy.

Two cute kids. Totally different from each other, but totally cute!
