Today when David, Sr. came home from lunch he asked Allyssa what she learned in school today. Like most kids, she answered, "Nothing." I prompted her to share with him the 5 parts of speech that she has been working on for weeks.
She listed off adjective, verb, noun, article adjective, and needed a little help with adverb (one more 'a' one; then she got it). The past two days we've been learning article adjectives, so I asked her to tell David what they were. She said, "Teeny, tiny adjectives."
"Yes, but what are they?"
"Noun markers."
"Yes, but what are they?"
David, Jr. piped up, "A, an, the."
Yeah. He's 3 years old.
