Saturday - Thursday Allyssa stays inside after lunch and plays by herself or watches a short video while I do a few things in the kitchen or on the computer. Then she is sent off to her room for a few minutes (read about 5 minutes) of time all by herself. She really enjoys that time in her room all by herself for a few minutes, but when it is over, there's really no going back. After that, we play with play dough, paint, make footprints with ink, make a craft to hang on her door, or color together. This is fun stuff, but we do it every day.
Friday, we might be really busy in the morning in town or really slow around the house, but Daddy's with us, so it really doesn't matter. After lunch, he might take her on a trailer ride and then have her help him do some yard work. He might read 20 books or 2 books 10 times each. Friday is different. Friday is fun.
