Weekend

The kids and I went up to see my parents this weekend. Their cousin Kyle turned 2, so we also got to join in on the fun there as well.


The kids dug for worms and grubs on Friday morning. That afternoon, they went fishing at Lake Texoma. The water is too cold for catching fish, but they don't mind. Allyssa knows that they didn't catch any. She said, "When we come back in the summer, I'll catch a fish because the water will be warm." Good thinking. David had a blast! He loved pulling the line up to check on his worm. We walked out onto the peninsula and taught Allyssa what one is. We made footprints in the sand, and just had a great time.



Saturday was Kyle's party. We got there a little early so that my kids could see Kyle a little before the party. They don't get to see each other much, so it was fun for them. Kyle and David had a great time running in the yard. My mom got such a cute picture of them. Kyle thought that the cake was great! He downed two pieces by the fist full. It was so cute!
