I might have just read the best book I have ever read in my life.
The Great Brain by John D. Fitzgerald is a book about 3 boys growing up in Utah. Tom, the middle brother, is the genius that keeps the whole town on their toes. He finds ways to swindle pennies from his friends while they think that he's doing them a favor. He saves some friends who get lost in a cave. When a new teacher comes to town, he changes the way the teacher disciplines the school. He even saves the life of a friend who has lost his leg. This book provides for many good laughs as Tom and his brothers save the day.
This book would be a great read for all children, but especially boys.
