Cannelloni!
We love cannelloni at our house. I have a few different ways to make it. Here is one!
Sausage and Spinach Cannelloni
1 pound turkey sausage, cooked with onions and banana peppers
6 oz cream cheese
1 cup spinach, thawed and dried with towel
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
Mix all these items together well.
7 cooked lasagna noodles (don't use ready to bake, you have to use the ones you boil)
16 oz spaghetti sauce
To make your own:
2 8oz cans tomato sauce
2 teaspoons white sugar
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder (I used powder this time, but if you want to use fresh saute the onions first)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/4 teaspoon basil
Put some sauce on the bottom of a greased 9x13 in pan. Cut lasagna noodles in half across the width. Put large amount of meat mixture in middle and fold over. Place in pan. Continue until all noodles are full. Top with remaining spaghetti sauce. Cover. Bake for 30 minutes in a 350 degree oven.
Serve with Parmesan cheese.
That looks like a dish that would be a huge hit in my household! I'm bookmarking for fall; we try not to turn the oven on too much when it's 100+ degrees outside.
