Today started off with pancakes and sausage. Then, we packed a peanut butter and jelly lunch, and headed to Bryan Beach in Freeport.
It was a cloudy, breezy, nice day at the beach. The temperature was nice. The sun wasn't too bright. The beach was pretty empty. There were a few people, but quieter than South Padre Island was when we'd go there. It was a couple of hours away, so Allyssa got a little bored of being in the car. David, Jr. didn't seem to mind the ride though.
Allyssa was excited about the water right away. It took David, Jr. a little while to warm up to it. After a while though, he was walking into the waves and having a grand time.
After a couple of hours, David was tired and was ready to go home, so we pulled out our picnic lunch. Allyssa ate like she was starved, and David ate well, too. A day at the beach sure makes a kid hungry.
