Our remodel

You can read the first two posts about our remodel here and here.

We are almost done with the kitchen! The parts that are left are very minor. We're still putting in the base trim around the upper cabinets and the kick plates around the lower cabinets. Once that is done, we'll attach the under cabinet lighting. That's it! Hooray!

This remodel has been a relatively easy process. David worked very hard on getting it done quickly. There were a few bumps in the road and a couple of extra trips to IKEA, but that's to be expected in a remodel.

Our $3000 remodel included hardware and a new sink/faucet. Here's what it looks like almost done!
Beautiful new sink that already has gotten a ton of use
Some kick plates are already in!

Since we've moved into this house, we've done a lot of work such as painting (three bedrooms, the living room, the kitchen, and the dining room), replacing broken things (florescent kitchen light that took up the whole ceiling with recessed lighting, the range and vent hood, and the broken dishwasher). While putting tile on the back splash in the kitchen and new doors on the bathroom cabinets are things on our list, these things will have to wait a while because once our new little girl gets a forward facing car seat, we'll have to get a vehicle that can hold 3 forward facing car seats. Looks like we'll be trying to save up to purchase a vehicle in about a year! We were lucky enough to be able to pay for the kitchen remodel with our savings, but that pretty much tapped it out, so the process starts over again.

Thank you so much David for such a lovely kitchen! I love it!
